Powering North America: Energy, AI, and Digital Infrastructure
Hosted by the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA)
The rapid expansion of artificial intelligence is fueling unprecedented growth in data centers across North America, placing new demands on the region’s energy systems. As companies scale the infrastructure needed to train and deploy advanced AI models, reliable and affordable electricity has become a critical enabler of digital competitiveness. The United States, Canada, and Mexico each bring distinct energy resources and infrastructure strengths that could help meet this rising demand through deeper regional coordination.
This session explored how trilateral collaboration can support the energy needs of the AI-driven data center boom. Panelists examined the important role of the North American supply chain in ensuring the continent has the people, parts and power that it needs to be successful at this critical time.
