Mexico City has the talent, research institutions, industrial capabilities, and market access to play a larger role in North America’s supply chains. The opportunity now is to connect these assets more deliberately—linking academia and industry, strengthening local manufacturing capabilities, and creating the conditions for companies to scale and compete in global value chains.

This GovLab will put particular attention will be given to the life sciences ecosystem, where the convergence of talent, manufacturing capacity, financing, international partnerships, and regulatory competitiveness presents a significant opportunity for the city.
