  • Alejandro Ramirez is a highly accomplished leader with an impressive academic and professional background. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Harvard University, an MSc in Development Economics from the University of Oxford, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

    Previously, Mr. Ramirez served as Mexico's Representative to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and Technical Secretary of the Social Cabinet of the Government of Mexico. He has also worked for the World Bank and the United Nations Development Programme, focusing on poverty and human development.

    Currently, Mr. Ramirez serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Cinépolis, the largest film exhibition company in Latin America with operations in Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Central America, India, Spain, and the United States. Cinépolis is the second-largest film exhibition chain globally, with 311 million attendees worldwide in 2016.

    Mr. Ramirez is also an accomplished author and chairman of several organizations, including the Mexican Business Council, the Morelia International Film Festival, and Mexicanos Primero. He serves on the boards of BBVA Bancomer, the Mexican Competitiveness Institute, the Sundance Institute, and the Harvard Board of Overseers.

    In 2012, Mr. Ramirez was appointed Chair of the B20, the G20's Business Summit, further cementing his position as a respected global leader.

  • Susan Segal was elected president and CEO of Americas Society/Council of the Americas in August 2003 after working in the private sector with Latin America and other emerging markets for over 30 years. A passionate supporter of Latin America, she joined the organizations to implement a new strategic plan to renew and return the Society and Council to their historic position. Prior to her current position, she was a founding partner of her own investment and advisory group focused primarily on Latin America and the U.S. Hispanic sector.

    Previously, Segal was a partner and Latin American Group head at J.P. Morgan Partners/Chase Capital Partners (CCP) where she invested across sectors and countries in addition to pioneering early-stage venture capital investing in Latin America. She has always been and continues to be an enthusiastic mentor and supporter of entrepreneurs, particularly in Latin America. Prior to joining CCP, Segal was a senior managing director focused on Emerging Markets Investment Banking and Capital Markets at MHT/Chemical/Chase Banks.

    Segal was actively involved in the Latin American debt crisis of the 1980s and early 1990s, sitting on many Advisory Committees as well as serving as chairperson for the Chilean and Philippine Advisory Committees.

    In addition to being a board member at Americas Society and Council of the Americas, she is also a director of the Tinker Foundation, Scotiabank, Mercado Libre, Vista Oil & Gas, and the Bretton Woods Committee. She is also a director and chairman of Scotiabank USA, a non-public subsidiary of Scotiabank, and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. In 1999, she was awarded the Orden Bernardo O'Higgins, Grado de Gran Oficial in Chile. In 2009, President of Colombia Álvaro Uribe honored her with the Orden de San Carlos. In 2012, President Felipe Calderón bestowed on her the Orden Mexicana del Águila Azteca. In 2013, the North American-Chilean Chamber of Commerce recognized her as the Honorary Chilean of the Year. In 2018, Segal was awarded Peru’s Orden al Mérito por Servicios Distinguidos in the rank of Grand Official on behalf of President Martín Vizcarra. In 2022, she was recognized by Colombian President Iván Duque with the Orden de Boyacá in the category of Grand Cross.

  • Rob Wildeboer is the Executive Chairman and co-founder of Martinrea International Inc. He brings a deep and intricate knowledge of the Company’s culture, key personnel, strategy, history and development, and relationships with key constituencies such as capital providers and governments, to the Company. He has also been intimately involved in negotiating the purchase and financing of every acquisition in the Company’s history, as the Company has been one of the fastest growing automotive parts companies in the industry. He has been involved in the automotive industry for many years in many roles, whether as a representative of the Company in negotiations or as an advisor to public policy makers and others. He is focused on the Company’s Culture, Vision, Mission and Principles, with a commitment to the Company’s most important asset, its people.

    Previously, Mr. Wildeboer was a partner of Wildeboer Dellelce LLP, a law firm that practices corporate, securities, lending, tax and real estate law that he co-founded in 1993. Mr. Wildeboer has been an entrepreneurial investor, director or officer of a number of private and public companies and currently sits as Chair of NanoXplore Inc., a manufacturer and supplier of high-volume graphene powder for use in industrial markets. The company provides standard and custom graphene-enhanced plastic and composite products to various customers in transportation, packaging, electronics, and other industrial sectors. Martinrea is the largest shareholder of NanoXplore, and Mr. Wildeboer is Martinrea’s representative on the board.

    Mr. Wildeboer is Co-Chair of the Canadian Automotive Partnership Counsel (CAPC) and CAPC’s COVID-19 Task Force; a present and past advisor to the Governments of Canada and Ontario on a variety of economic, trade, investment, industry, innovation, manufacturing and automotive mandates; past Chair of the Macdonald-Laurier Institute and Chair of Cardus, both leading Canadian think tanks; and a director or advisor of numerous charitable organizations.

    Mr. Wildeboer holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Guelph, a law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School, an MBA from York University, and an LLM from Harvard University. In 2012, he received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in recognition of his contributions to Canada. In 2018, he received the Jay Hennick Award from Osgoode Hall Law School and the Schulich School of Business for career achievement.
